Dr. Moynier is amazing! I would give him 10 stars if that was an option! I was in Boulder on vacation from Texas and had a dental emergency. He immediately called me back willing to help and met me at his office on a Sunday. He was not only kind and sympathetic, he was such a perfectionist and did an amazing job! He charged me such a fair amount to help me and I will forever be grateful to him! I highly recommend him and his sweet staff that followed up with me!

Full Dentures

Full dentures, also known as complete dentures, are a common solution for replacing entire sets of teeth on either or both the upper and lower jaws. They are fitted with artificial gums and teeth, offering an effective way to renew your smile after tooth loss. Our office offers two types of full dentures: traditional and implant-supported.

Traditional Dentures

Traditional full dentures are removable, and designed to rest directly on the gums. They are crafted to perfectly fit your mouth and are an affordable solution to tooth loss. However, they may require adhesive to help keep them secure and can take some getting used to.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported full dentures, on the other hand, offer an upgrade on the traditional method. These dentures are anchored by surgically placed implants, providing superior stability and preventing bone loss in the jaw. They can restore more natural chewing abilities and offer a more comfortable fit, as they do not require adhesive and won’t slip or click during eating or talking.

Partial Dentures

Designed for patients who are missing some but not all their teeth, partial dentures are a versatile solution that securely and aesthetically fills gaps in your smile. They consist of replacement teeth secured to a gum-colored base, connected by a metal framework.

Just like full dentures, they can be either traditional or implant-supported. Traditional partial dentures are removable and clasp onto the remaining teeth for support, plus they are typically a more affordable option. Implant-supported partial dentures offer remarkable stability by being anchored to dental implants.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dentures

Do you have questions about dentures? Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we hear. If your question isn’t on the list, please reach out to us and we would be happy to assist you!

No, dentures are not the only option for replacing missing teeth. Other options include dental implants, dental bridges, and partial dentures. The best option for each person depends on their specific oral health needs and preferences.

Proper care and maintenance of dentures are crucial to ensure their longevity and oral health. Dentures should be cleaned daily with a denture brush and mild denture cleaner. They should be removed before sleeping and stored in a denture-soaking solution or water.

It is generally recommended to remove your dentures while sleeping to allow your gums and oral tissues to rest. This also prevents the risk of accidentally damaging or misplacing your dentures during sleep.

It typically takes about 30 days to get used to wearing dentures. It could be shorter or longer depending on the individual. During this time, you might experience some discomfort, increased saliva flow, or difficulty with speech and eating, but these issues should diminish as you get more accustomed to the dentures.
